In December 2024, we supported the victims of a flood disaster in Malaysia
Not long before the New Year 2025, ten Malaysian states were hit by severe floods, leaving more than 147,000 without roofs over their heads. The state of Kelantan suffered the most damage, with at least 93,000 people fleeing their flooded homes and seeking refuge.
To help the flood victims of Kelantan, we teamed up with our local partner Azeehan who helped us distribute targeted support. Our kits contained food, drinking water, hygiene amenities, towels, pillows, blankets, house cleaning tools, and more.
After the disaster, thousands were driven from their homes. People lacked even the most basic means to sustain themselves. This is why we really appreciate Octa's support. This charity effort was a great help to the displaced members of local communities in enduring the floods,' Azeehan commented.
We hope that the people of affected communities return to their homes as soon as possible and that normal life in Kelantan will soon be restored.
